Thank you, easy to understand well-made made video. We appreciate you making this video.
I wonder if this would offer more protection if placed over a surgical mask, but, like a surgical mask this will not protect against COVID as the mask must fit tightly around the muzzle of the face in a tight seal to prevent virus from getting in. I would think it would offer more protection over a surgical mask. Best idea is to use the filter but figure out a way to make a tight mask.
Interesting, but 3M filters also rely on electrostatic forces to trap particulates, what airflow is required for effective filtration? These filters are designed for one direction airflow and are NOT designed for human respiration/ moisture. Does filter/ face proximity present increased risks of viral loading? Seems "off the hip" and could be dangerous.
Can I use vent filter?
Why not just buy the 3M made N95 material that’s on Amazon? It’s listed under another name completely.
What kind of fabric are you using?
Anybody else drooling because she has a Juki? 🤤 ha my sewing nerd is showing 😄
What size filter did you purchase?
How often should u change filter
That’s how I’m making my mask to donate to hospitals using a organic cotton with silver ion , 2 later copper mesh and then 3 layer 3m 1900 filter
Add a cover mesh copper is know to kill bacteria and virus on contact
approximately how much fabric to make 1 or 5 or 10?
Can you sell these?!!! But also would love the nose piece to hold to the face tight!!
How often should the filter be changed, or how long can I go without replacing the filter?
Nice work! What are the dimensions of the pocket?
You also need to take note the air flow directions on the filter before you take it apart. The filter needs to go in the correct direction to keep out what you don't want to breathe in.
Nice work Heidi and thank you…from everyone who forgot to say it too
You should add a wire or pipe cleaner to one end so that it can be contoured to the face for a better fit to keep out germs.
Technically not N-95 but equivalent. Merv 13/ 1900 can filter out bacteria and viruses. You can buy filters that are rated higher than 1900.
Thank you! Could you please provide info re: the 3M 1900 Filters? I don't know what those are.
Thanks
